On 21st of June, CityNet signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Yonsei University Institute for Poverty Alleviation and International Development (IPAID) in order to collaborate in localizing SDGs.
IPAID was established on March 23, 2010 as a university-based research institution at Yonsei University engaging in multi-disciplinary global poverty alleviation policy research through forums, conferences, policy analysis, training, volunteer opportunities, scholar exchange programs, and the publication of the peer-reviewed scholarly journal, Asian Development Perspectives.
Both CityNet and IPAID found a common interest where the two organizations can collaborate such as promoting local level initiatives in line with the SDGs, organizing joint research and projects through local level partnership in order to support the solutions to the sustainable issues in the region.
From CityNet side, it was attended by Secretary General Vijay Jagannathan, Director of Programs Youngmin Chang, Deputy Director of Programs Stephani Widorini, Program Officer Seunghyeon Han and Rina Hwang, and Technical Advisor Jonghyeon Lee. From IPAID, Director Moo-kwon Chung, Associate Professor Dae-yong Choi, and Professional Researcher Young-je Kim joined the MOU signing.
