As one of the major annual events of the Smart City Summit & Expo (SCSE), the Sustainable City Forum this year aimed to gather more people together than ever before to talk about sustainable, smart cities and net-zero actions. The event was organized by ICDI, a CityNet Executive Committee Member, and hosted by Kaohsiung City Government, a CityNet member.
The main forum this year convened on 30 March, discussing smart cities in digital transformation and sustainable cities in transformative net-zero actions. Jeong-kee Kim, the CEO of CityNet, delivered Opening Remarks.
In the evening, the Global Smart Solution Report (GSSR) Awards Ceremony was held. Every year, CityNet encourages its members to submit best cases to the publication. In the 2022 edition, which was honoured during the Awards Ceremony, CityNet members Quezon, Kandy, Makati, Subang Jaya, and Taoyuan submitted cases that were published in the 2022 GSSR.
On 31 March, CEO Kim had a meeting with the Mayor of Kaohsiung, Chi-Mai Chen, to learn more about each other and explore potential paths to deepen collaboration between Kaohsiung and CityNet.
