CityNet, in collaboration with the University of Seoul International School of Urban Sciences, is inviting you and your colleagues to participate in two new Urban SDG Knowledge Platform online course modules. The modules have been designed to showcase replicable best practices from Asia Pacific cities on in-demand topics. To access the course briefer and learn more about the program, please CLICK HERE.
Module 1) Policy Intervention for Sustainable Mobility
Module 2) Sustainable Waste Management Measures for Behavioral Changes
The free self-guided courses are offered to CityNet members on the Urban SDG Knowledge Platform learning page. The joint learning program will kick-off on 22 July and conclude on 24 August with a live review session on Zoom. Attending the live review session to share learnings is a requirement to obtain the course certificate.
Each module is designed to be completed in 2 weeks of self study requiring 2-3 hours of work per week for about 5 hours total. The coursework includes watching lecture videos, answering quizzes, and completing a transferability test and action plan. Both modules follow the same structure:
1) Introductory “fireside chat” featuring CityNet Secretary General Vijay Jagannathan and Dean Shin Lee of the University of Seoul International School of Urban Sciences
2) Masterclass lecture on the module theme delivered by Dean Shin Lee
3) Presentations on 4 successful case studies from Asia Pacific cities
4) Policy Transferability Test
5) Simple Action Plan
The deadline to register for the courses is Monday 22 July. A live orientation will follow on that day.
