CityNet Secretariat is pleased to announce the call for hosting the prestigious 10th CityNet General Council in 2026, a significant quadrennial event representing CityNet’s largest legislative gathering. The 10th CityNet Congress will feature 1) the 46th Executive Committee Meeting, 2) the 10th General Council, 3) the 47th Executive Committee Meeting, 4) the 5th SDG City Awards, 5) the Mayor’s Forum/International Forum, and 6) technical site visits.
During this Congress, all CityNet members will elect its Main Office Bearers for the 2027-2030 term, encompassing positions: 1) President City, 2) Vice President Cities, 3) Executive Committee members, 4) Secretary General, 5) Auditor, and 6) the Election Committee. Additionally, the event will facilitate crucial mid- to long-term planning discussions among esteemed leaders from the Asia-Pacific and other regions.
Hosting the CityNet Congress is a privileged opportunity to highlight the city’s cultural and historical heritage and best practices to international participants with over 300 esteemed representatives. In addition, the host city will have the opportunity to build capacity in urban development by facilitating invaluable connections between city officials and experts from the Asia-Pacific and beyond
