The 3rd CityNet-ESCAP SDG City Awards Ceremony was successfully held on 19th November, during the 44th CityNet Executive Committee Meeting in Iloilo City, Philippines. The awards ceremony celebrated the remarkable achievements of 11 finalist cities, each showcasing their innovative practices through an in-depth knowledge-sharing session using videos or live presentations.
The awards ceremony celebrated achievements across the four thematic categories of the 2024 contest:
- Inclusive City: Bangkok, Busan, Jambi, Makati, and Seberang Perai
- Smart City: Baguio and Subang Jaya
- Circular City: Bandung, Kuala Lumpur, and Moratuwa
- Resilient City: Jakarta
*Semarang Municipality and Yokohama City were also announced as finalists, but they were unable to join the ceremony due to unforeseen challenges.
