We are excited to announce the launch of an upcoming webinar series dedicated to the art and science of city branding. In response to increasing demand from its member cities, the CityNet Secretariat has partnered with Iloilo City to explore the dynamic role of branding in global competitiveness.
City branding has evolved beyond the conventional scope of tourism. It now plays a pivotal role in shaping the perception of cities, influencing long-term residency, attracting investments, and enhancing local economies. Beyond boosting a city’s profile, effective branding can uplift the quality of life for its residents and strengthen local pride.

The webinar series, which kicks off on April 30, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM* Korea Standard Time (3:00 PM – 5:00 PM Manila/Iloilo Standard Time), will delve into the fundamental principles and best practices of city branding. *Tentative time
The first webinar of the series will highlight the success of Iloilo City, which was recently recognised as a UNESCO City of Gastronomy.
