CityNet members in the Philippines’ National Capital Region met with technical experts from the Seoul Urban Solutions Agency (SUSA) and Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) on May 9, 2017 at Makati City Hall, Makati City. Key department heads from Makati, Marikina and Muntinlupa cities attended the meeting.

SUSA is an arm of the SMG with a mandate to share Seoul’s urban development experience and solutions to foreign cities.

During the meeting, SUSA presented its key programs on information communications technology (ICT), housing, and transportation among others. SUSA also learned about the different challenges and policy bottlenecks the Philippine cities are currently facing. SUSA, SMG and Philippine CityNet members look forward to further exploring prospects for technical collaboration.

The five-member delegation from SUSA and SMG also made a courtesy visit to Makati City Mayor Abby Binay. Makati City, CityNet’s Second Vice President, hosted the meeting.
