On November 4, 2014, full and associate member representatives from across the CITYNET network voted on a new generation of legislative leaders at the 7th General in Seoul, South Korea. The CITYNET Secretariat congratulates the following cities on their election and looks forward to working with them to promote people-friendly and sustainable cities over the next four years.

To enhance #resilience to #climatechange impacts, cities must monitor and address these hazards. Earth observations can help cities understand and enhance urban resilience and make better decisions for planning, urban #greening, monitoring, and more.

This 3-part, introductory webinar series will provide an overview of the Earth Observations Toolkit for Sustainable Cities and Human Settlements, an online knowledge resource that shares ready-to-use Earth observation data sets and tools. These resources can be applied in policy areas that are important to resilient and sustainable cities. Such areas include sustainable urban planning, adequate #housing, access to #publictransport, and access to public spaces.
