CityNet discusses future collaborations with members and partners

On December 12-13th, CityNet Secretary General Vijay Jagannathan visited Seoul to discuss about future collaboration with other organizations.

The first meeting was held on December 12th with Mayor of Seoul Won-soon Park to discuss about follow-up actions after the 37th Executive Committee meeting and how Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) can better contribute to the development of member cities.

The second meeting was held on the following day with World Smart Sustainable Cities Organization (WeGO). In the meeting, Secretary General Vijay Jagannathan, Director of Programs Youngmin Chang, and Director of Operations Myungseon Kim participated from CityNet. From WeGO, Secretary General Kyong-yul lee, Program Director Albert Graves, and Senior Program Officer Earl Burgos participated to discuss about cooperation between two organizations.

The third meeting was conducted with Global Green Growth Institue (GGGI) on the 14th of December. From GGGI, Deputy Director Donovan Storey and Green Cities Analyst Aarsi Sagar joined to discuss about how the two organizations can work together to achieve urban SDGs in the member cities.

The last meeting, which was held on the same date, was conducted with Seoul Urban Solutions Agency (SUSA). The head of SUSA and team leader joined the meeting.

After the meetings, the organizations agreed to cooperate together to achieve the sustainability in the member cities in the near future.
