Condolence letters from CityNet Secretary General to Nepalese cities on the earthquake in Nepal

CityNet Secretary General Vijay Jagannathan has conveyed a condolence letter to Nepalese cities on the earthquake that struck Nepal on April 25th, 2015.  The text of the letter is attached below. 


Condolences to citizen of Nepal

 

I am deeply saddened to hear the disastrous earthquake in Nepal. As Secretary General of CityNet, I would like to express my sincere condolences to those who are affected and the all citizen of Nepal on behalf of the CityNet Secretariat.

The tragedy has cost thousands of lives already and countless people have lost the basis of their existence. I hereby extend my wishes to the deceased, the bereaved and the citizens of Nepal who are suffering from the devastating situation.

We always appreciated contributions of MuAn to sustainable development of its city and support to the work of CityNet as an Executive Committee member. We are now in close liaison with Seoul Metropolitan Government to take necessary actions for aids and material help to the people in the affected area.

Please accept my sincere sympathy, and know that my thoughts are with and for you and the entire citizens of Nepal.
