Call for Participants for the Training on Housing Policy: Learning from Seoul Metropolitan Government

CityNet Secretariat is organizing a Training on Housing Policy: Learning from Seoul Metropolitan Government to be held from May 20, 2021 online. The workshop will be co-hosted by CityNet, the Seoul Metropolitan Government, and Seoul Human Resource Development Center (SHRDC).

This workshop developed by SHRDC and CityNet will offer a series of online lectures and discussions with urban practitioners for housing policy making and an opportunity to build capacities in implementing and structuring the SDGs at the city level in day-to-day city administration.

In an effort to pursue the Urban SDG Knowledge Platform’s mission to localize best practices for implementing the SDGs, the workshop topics will include:

Training Sessions Overview

  • Lecture 1: The overview and history of housing supply policy of Seoul
  • Lecture 2: Seoul’s current housing policy including key policies on housing supply system and affordable housing for low income households
  • Lecture 3: Success factors of Seoul’s housing policy based on various case studies

Key Information

Delivery Method: Online (Self-Paced e-Learning)

Date: From May 20, 2021 – 3 Online Training Sessions (3 weeks allocated to complete the program)

Length of each session: about 45 minutes to 1 hour per lecture

A Certificate of Completion will be provided upon the submission of your Action Plan and the completion of a short quiz.
