CITYNET, a longstanding partner of UNISDR’s ‘Making Cities Resilient’ Campaign, joined a global assembly of local governments, disaster management agencies and capacity development service providers to better understand and enact the campaign’s ‘Ten Essentials’ of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management. This three day collaborative learning initiative challenged participants (including CITYNET member cities Makati, Muntinlupa, Seoul and Incheon) to plan new city-level DRR objectives and activities. CITYNET will work with UNISDR to further refine the campaign’s tools and make them even more relevant and accessible to CITYNET members. You can read more about the event here http://www.unisdr.org/archive/36828 and discover more information about the campaign and the resources on offer through UNISDR’s Making Cities Resilient website http://www.unisdr.org/campaign/resilientcities/
